Food Wastage from IT People::Raguram in Chennai : TRENDSETTER blog at Rediff iLand

I
am working as a IT consultant in a leading MNC. Everyday we used to
have our lunch in our food court, I have seen lot of foods being wasted
in the dustbin. The worst part is the food in the dustbin will not be
used for not even dogs. The same will be sent to the ditch directly.

The problem
here is nobody has realized the value of the food, how it is being
manufactured, how many people in our country is straved to death
without having this food.

Today the
country has a tremondous growth rate in GDP but what about the food for
our poor people? Does this GDP help poor people to increase their
number of food times per day? Nothing..

We are
living in a country where the population is growing day by day. We, as
a key element of this nation let us have some self responsbility and
wide & broad vision of our country.

The TREND is the main factor here. Now a days we are forced to follow some stupid habits in the name of "FASHION"
. So while eating, we are supposed to left some quantity of food items
in our plates as a table manners. Though if you are very hungry and
the food is very tasty also sometimes we used to do the same.

Friends, its
my humble request to everyone of you, pls dont waste your food. Try to
have as much as possible and pls remember the amount of wastage would
be serverd then it would erase the 50% amount of staveness in the
country.

Let us be a
'TRENDSETTER' for some valuable TRENDS which will really add some value
to our life but for these kind of useless trends.
